I can’t connect and get the weather data . The connection window says “connecting” but it seems like it’s frozen.
It is critical that you have a solid connection to the Internet in order for the ClearPoint Weather software to connect to our weather server. There are several items to check, that will help to insure a good connection to the ClearPoint servers:
- Check that you have a good connection to the Internet
- Diable all firewalls including Windows, as that may be blocking the connection
- Look In the Advanced tab of the Windows Firewall, check that your connection is not still being blocked
- Contact ClearPoint for further advice and troubleshooting this issue - it may be related to your Network Firewall email@example.com
I can’t overlay certain features that I want to see. Why?
Most of the features are colored to aid in visual identification of nuances in weather and sea state data. When certain features are overlaid - it can result in muddy, or unclear representations of the information. ClearPoint has enabled overlay of only those features that produce meaningful representations of the data while avoiding those that would result in indistinguishable information.
