ClearPoint's specialized Sailboat Racing Forecasts, called "Hot Spots",are currently available in 8 areas around the globe. The current list of active "Hot Spots" is available below.

Instructions for use with ClearPoint installed software:
  • To viewthis informationusing theClearPoint software, zoom out to the global map view
  • Click on the Winds tab located at the bottomof the map display.
  • Click on the center of the small dial at the bottom of the tab - to the 15nm position- and 8 red box outlines will appear on the map,indicating the outer-most regions of the current racing "Hot Spots".
  • The centerpoint of each box is where the 5nm and the 1nm resolution winds will be focused - and each region.
  • When your vessel is positioned in the centerpoint of any of the red boxes, and the downloaded data is activated using the Winds tab, each successive "click" on the Wind Dial will reduce the data area size around the vessel -while increasing the resolution based on the position of the dial from 15nm to 5nm to 1nm.
  • The model produces an ultra-high accuracy wind model of a race course - pinpointing wind speed and direction for each spot on which your cursor is placed.
  • This data is viewable frame by frame, hour by hour for up to 18 hours forward and 6 hours backward.
  • Click once on the map to open the Details window . Combined with moving thelocation of your mouse cursor on the map, ClearPoint will producethe pinpointed data within each frrame.
